The Hero Derek Gavin abandoned his pregnant wife to go to Iraq because he couldn't deal with the responsibility. He has since abandoned financial responsibility for his wife and daughter and they have had to go on welfare after becoming homeless.
It's my opinion that leaving anonymous comments such as the bitter stupidity shown in the previous comment is both cowardly and inane. How you demonstrate the societal dysfunction of your upbringing. At first I was angered by your comment, Derek Gavin is my son and I am both proud of him and the time he served; Upon further reflection I realize that people like you are never far away...ignorant, cowardly, like social gnats to be swatted away and ignored.
Obviously Doctor a discontented fan left that anonymous message...you know who you are...this won't solve anything. I would suggest you try and pick up the pieces and get on with your life!
This hero is my little brother and gained the respect that he deserves from me, he is an american war hero and a proven veteran on the umatilla indian reservation, whoever left the first comment...and i have a pretty good idea who you are, needs to realize that they could not be half the person that he is on any day of any month. Coward
Its just dumb what the first person said. not true. I have a good idea of the 3 different people this couldve come from and I can say that none of you could even talk about having any kind of respect or maturity. especially if you have to go online hide behind an anonymous name. Way to be the bigger person there. Speaking of responsibility why dont you take some for what you said.
Providing news and information about Iraq that is unbiased, but is not usually carried by the legacy American media.
25+ years of service for the U.S. Army.
