SFC Jean Briggs, a civil affairs team sergeant with 411th Civil Affairs Battalion, Danbury, Conn., explains how a water treatment plant they had installed in a village near Forward Operating Base ORyan, Balad purifies the water taken from a nearby canal.

Hey, excellent website. A great Iraq resource is Deaths in Iraq. It breaks all of the casualties down by age, race, branch of the military, country, etc.

SFC Gene Briggs died March 20, 2011. He was a good soldier - 23 years in the Army.
