ISS Ships Freezy-Pops to Troops in Iraq

U.S. troops in Iraq must deal with the constant threat of attack, separation for families and loved ones... and unrelenting, oppressive heat. Temperatures in Iraq regularly exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit. To support our troops, ISS recently shipped 1,000 freezy-pops to Iraq. In response, Wayne DeAtley received the following email of thanks:

Subject: Freezy Pops

Mr. DeAtley,

I would like to thank you and ISS for the generosity expressed in helping to ship 1,000 freezy pops to our troops in Iraq.

My friend, Ch. Capt. Charles Seligman, a chaplain from Langley AFB, is currently serving in country at Balad AFB. He had mentioned how he would like to be able to go out to the troops, both at Balad and other out-lying areas, with a cooler full of something as simple as Freezy Pops. He wanted to be able to give just a simple expression to those as they worked in the +120 degree heat.

Attached are some of pictures from the front.

Thank you again for your generosity.

Respectfully,
Mark Kruse
