SGT Herald Cory, a native of Newport News, Va., who serves as a military working dog handler with 18th Military Police Brigade currently working with the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment "Golden Dragons," 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), uses Wandor, a military working dog, to screen civilian contractors entering Patrol Base Gator Swamp, Iraq. The Golden Dragons have been using the working dogs to screen all civilian contractors entering PBGS.

Iraqi soldiers enter a mosque to search it near Janabi Village, Iraq, during an operation in the area. The operation, a combined effort between Soldiers of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (LI) and Iraqi army forces of the 4th Brigade, 6th Iraqi Army Division, was aimed at finding weapons caches and terror suspects.

Manton, Mich. native, SPC Joel Roderick (right), a combat medic for Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment reenlisted at Camp Taji, Iraq as Winslow, Ariz. native CPT Patrick Inman, battalion surgeon for the 1st Bn., 82nd Field Artillery Regt. read him the oath of enlistment. The reenlistment marked the 100th time during Operation Iraqi Freedom rotation 06-08 that a 1st "Ironhorse" Brigade Combat Team Soldier has reenlisted - just outstanding. Nothing beats a reenlistment or promotion in the field - it's Army nirvana.

Arabian Sea (Jan. 3, 2007) — The “Buckeyes” flag from The Ohio State University is flown aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) as a show of support by IKE fans for the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) game against the “Gators” of the University of Florida. IKE and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7 are on a regularly scheduled deployment currently operating in support of Maritime Security Operations.

The Police Transition Teams and Surgical Unit responsible for saving Riyam are deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq (MNF-W) to develop the Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic government reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi Reconstruction.
